[Purpose of this Syposium]
To achieve "temporal design"
one may approach design problems of the interactions
between human creativity and its effects
on the natural environment and between human
activities and built and natural environment.
In particular, cultural development may favor
a lifestyle pattern that does not attempt
to go against the forces of nature.
It is worth considering what could be
thought of as three stages of human time:
the time of the body, the time of the mind,
and the time of personality. The latter is
the source of creation and the most unique
to man. All creations that may contribute
to human life and thus society have been
based on the unique personality of the individual.
It is highly recommended, therefore, that
the environment be designed for every stage
of time of each person. A well-designed environment
would be a meeting places for art and science
and moreover may help to discover the individual
personality as the minimum unit of society.
Hoping to contribute for development
of the individual personality, we organize
the first International Symposium focused
on the individual housing and individual
seat selection in a concert hall as a representative
environment. |
